Dear winter!

Composed by: Azm

The chill that runs down my spine
Oh! Winter you’re so not mine.
There the tiny powerless sun I see
And the long darkness waiting for me
Makes me sad; in vain goes my sanity
Feels like a curse for humanity
You’d be admired in a case for sure
If we were penguins we’d absolutely adore

I sit by the window and worse I see
The whole world pictured right before me
The high ones lay in their cozy rooms
But the homeless can lit no fuel
Pity on them; have mercy I say
End your stay and go away
How we long for you to go back
And then the awesome spring to crack!

Dance with me again!

Composed by: Azm

I look forward for another chance
The same place and the same dance
You take the lead I’ll move along
Hold me tight; let’s not get it wrong
Take a twist, take a turn
Mix few more steps and then return
Hear the music change; dance with the beat
With a twist and some taps of the feet

The spot light will shine again
We’ll dance again in the heavy rain
Let the world laugh we won’t care
It’s you I want to dance with, always be there!!

The Full Moon

        Composed by: Azm

The Full moon up there waving down
Seems like a woman with sticks and hay
Traces of the father left behind
Yet left to perceive and rewind

Lights she spreads pretty deep blue
And the city down there as good as new
But would go back home pretty soon
But she’d again return, blossom and bloom
People point out to the dark spots in her
They’re unaware that’s beauty we fall for

The reason she had as she showed up today
For the people like was to live her way

To be the real hero in the dark
Put smile on faces as the beauty sparks!

The black and white world

       Composed by: Azm

A pinch in the heart, a big lie;
an evil smile, hypnotic lullaby;
and there besides the innocent eye,
with a demon alive inside.

The day that shone, night that’d mourn;
the awful dusk, delightful dawn;
it’s the white the lords and black the frauds;
just as the dark demon and the handsome god.

And on the face the mask they wear;
hide the black cause dark they fear;
then the feelings within they’d hold,
I call this the black and white world!!

Followed by the Hailstorm

Composed by: Azm

Hailstorm that broke through
Yet over within a tick of the clock;
Out swam children to collect a few
None aware the poor birdie was stuck;

They tried to capture the scene in lens
The dazzling flashes thanking the science
A while past the change appeared
Lumps of ice into water had turned

Picture taken was crystal clear
The injured bird hit hard by the hail
In the back yard it laid. Alas! Left there
The path through heaven it’d sail
Mournful faces wished the clock’d struck a bit slow
The poor birdie could be healed; it wouldn’t have to go

My favourite poem

Both Sides now
Composed by Joni Mitchell

Bows and flows of angel hair and ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere, I’ve looked at cloud that way.
But now they only block the sun, they rain and snow on everyone.
So many things I would have done but clouds got in my way.

I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now,
From up and down, and still somehow
It’s cloud illusions I recall.
I really don’t know clouds at all.

Moons and junes and ferris wheels, the dizzy dancing way you feel
As every fairy tale comes real; I’ve looked at love that way.
But now it’s just another show. you leave ’em laughing when you go
And if you care, don’t let them know, don’t give yourself away.

I’ve looked at love from both sides now,
From give and take, and still somehow
It’s love’s illusions I recall.
I really don’t know love at all.

Tears and fears and feeling proud to say I love you right out loud,
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds, I’ve looked at life that way.
But now old friends are acting strange, they shake their heads, they say
I’ve changed.
Something’s lost but something’s gained in living every day.

I’ve looked at life from both sides now,
From win and lose, and still somehow
It’s life’s illusions I recall.
I really don’t know life at all.

Wake up WORLD!!

Composed by: Azm

Who is taller they ask one another
Competing to reach the sky; rest doesn't matter
The greenery destroyed; out of sight
Glass, bricks and stones; their unlimited height
no forest not a single tree
Development they say; I don't agree
No fresh air to breathe
Selfish people; their selfish greed
Poor innocent creatures chased away
Not even left with their home to stay
How ugly would be to think so
Wealthy ones high and the rest low
They should get back to where they belong
Realize that they're harming others; doing the wrong
The dark areas need more emphasis
Not to focus on what already exists
We want our healthy lives back
Greenery around shouldn't lack
Dreaming for better lives and better future
No ugly structure but be embraced by the nature

Being "ME"!!

©2010 Azm
Composed by: Azm

They call it being selfish, I agree
It’s all about myself; yes I do love me
I have been in love as you can see
Oh! Please don’t think hard it’s just me!
Everything of me cheers me every time
Reflection of mine or a broken rhyme
Thankful enough to what I am now
Yet to reach the top for a better show
People called me deaf; I did hear
Knew that I was right so I just didn’t care
The world came forward wanting me to change
I loved myself a bit too much they found it strange
But I know about them as well; they feel the same
May be I am the only one to stand up for the game
I love my life not a second to regret
They pretend to be against; don’t get it yet
I can’t be someone they want to be
I guess I’m loud enough; I’m proud to be me

The dusk

©2010 Azm
Composed by: Azm

Embraced with the farewell shine,
About to fade away;
Yet with a noticeable sign,
Reminiscing the fine day;
The gentle breeze called the silent tree
Alert were all; reluctant for the beauty to leave
How long had the wait been just for her beauty
Now she’s leaving; people afraid of the sooty
The time had to come for this depart
Leaving fearful, restless human heart
No chitter-chatter was sung by the bird
Only the howling wind to be heard
People hid themselves unable to see the awful scene
How she was being swallowed by the monster green
Nothing could be done, power not enough
To destroy the beast was impossible not just tough
The darkened night gestured a star to be born
All excited to see her again in the early morn!!!

A Lonely Loner

Composed by: Azm

Lonely I am, deaf I stand in the crowd

lips zipped heart beating loud

Some changes didn’t suit me well

Tired of trying; difficult to dwell

Get horrified as the past haunts

Wait to be on my own; the time that counts

People surround; not a smile on my face

Upset I am it’s a different case

It ain’t no love or a broken heart

It simply isn’t me right now; but a different part

Life is an Ocean

©2010 Azm
Composed by: Azm

I dreamt; it came into reality

How I wish this’d last for eternity

I ain’t the one I was before

I left the wickedness ashore

Feared I’d drown yet I swam

Crossed the ocean and here I am

The journey so fine nothing to fuss

Or mutter a single word harming us

The demons of the ocean still haunt me today

Bravely fought with the bad and got away

Out of words...

Composed by: Azm

.............................................................

Trying to gather the words

they seem to be falling apart

hoping it wont get worse

I get back to the start

yet to inspire me they tell

though my stupid writings dont go well

I write some lines and then erase

get lost in my word maze

again i sit and think think think

some words to srtike my mind that'd link

the same words repeat

the paper is ready to greet

I sit dumbfounded in front of the sheet

aware of nothing but the heartbeat

the door opens; distracts me

he comes over not a word can he see

confused; he stares at what I write

the blank page before me empty and white

holds my chin with a smile in his face

"i know you can do it, you'll win the race"

and then he leaves; shuts the door

whatever I write he'll always adore

he praises though I write real bad

I feel glad he's beside; I love my dad!

Dream on...

Composed by: Azm

…………………………………………………………..

Somewhat like a fairy tale,

I dream on, and wish it won’t fail

Success is what I look upon

It feels awesome, just Dream on!

I wanna rise and shine

Like a true star, so fine

I don’t limit my dream just till the sky

I dream on! I wanna reach high

People around don’t bother much

They say only in fairy tales are such

I nod my head; I know it’ll come true

A day will come when all will be blue

The dream is that keeps me alive

The wonderful imagination, the wonderful life

They think I’m crazy, but I don’t turn

I live my life and just DREAM ON…

Walking down the techy lanes!

©2010 Azm

I love walking during the evenings when the lights are on and the busy streets are busier than ever with the noisiest environment and traffic jams. I’d have been bored to death if I were in one of those stuck vehicles. But I feel so free walking along the same road looking at the people who look angry and frustrated, thanking I’m not one of them. Then, with my earplugs on playing the most awesome songs in my iPod I move on my way. As I walk pass other pedestrians I realize that they’re moving the wrong way. However, later, I start humming some songs and forget it. But I found that a fact not to be neglected and wanted to blog.

Well once I’d been taught during one of our “Traffic weeks” that we should be walking on the right side of the road. But we were taught to walk from the left hand side of the road during our school. Since then I realized that our course books were wrong. Well, not exactly wrong, but wrong in the case of our traffic rules, because we follow the British textbooks and in United Kingdom they have right hand driving system which is totally opposite of ours. So this led to confusion in everyone. I try to explain it to all my friends and family but only few seem to understand what I mean. It could save one from an accident. As we, here in “Nepal” follow left hand driving so it’s obvious that we should be walking from the opposite side that is from our right hand side. Our lanes being small, people need to obey these rules in order to avoid accidents to some extent. At least you tend to see what is coming before you and you can prevent yourself being hit by those speedy rowdy vehicles.

That is what I learnt and I try letting everyone around me know that fact. Hope people take it into consideration. Because I now that I am right, this small fact should be considered. You can see those roughly driven public transports along the road they seem to be aiming to run into other vehicles and killing people, carrying more than enough passengers. I felt it should not be neglected cause I hardly see anyone obeying traffic rules (mostly the pedestrians), they don’t use zebra crossing, neither do they use the overhead bridges, nor walk from the right side of the road. Moreover, this could lead to accidents if there are no footpaths along the road (though exceptions are there like the”Ratnapark kanda”). What I meant is that to lessen accidents to some extent the pedestrians should obey the rules too but not only blame the vehicles riders/drivers.
